SkyCoin (SKC) is the planned native digital currency of the SKYNET ecosystem — a peer-to-peer network where users run Nodes that contribute useful computing resources: CPU, GPU, storage, bandwidth and AI inference.

Instead of rewarding wasted computation, SKC is designed to reward useful work — computing resources that produce real value for the network.

Long-term ambition: a network currency built for internet-scale monetary capacity, not only the size of SKYNET at launch.

Instead of dedicating computing power to standalone proof-of-work hashing, a SKYNET Node contributes CPU, GPU, storage, bandwidth and AI capabilities to useful network tasks.

When eligible work is completed and verified, the Node can earn network rewards.
